It totally depends on what you need it for.

Therapy is a great option for many mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, PTSD and eating disorders.

The best type of therapy will depend on your personal circumstances and what you and your therapist agree on.

Types of therapy include:

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) helps you identify negative thinking patterns and change them.

Dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT) uses parts of CBT with a focus on improving emotion regulation, mindfulness and interpersonal effectiveness.

Psychodynamic therapy focuses on your unconscious emotions and thoughts.

Family therapy aims to help families improve communication and resolve conflicts.

Interpersonal therapy focuses on your relationships with other people.
